Metal Head Spinning Reel
Two drag adjustments instead of one. Set the front drag for the fight, and use the rear to back off completely when you want to leave a rod out with line free to run. That is a different way of fishing, and it needs a reel built for it.
Details
On the water
The metal spool holds a large winding volume, so you get depth of line without going up a size in reel. The CNC-machined metal rocker arm swaps left to right and takes the load without flex. The soft rubber knob is what your fingers are on for six hours, and it is the part that stops a session ending early.
What it does
Front and rear brake
Front drag for fighting, rear for backing the drag off entirely on a rod left out.
Metal spool, large capacity
A metal wire cup carrying a large winding volume for its size.
CNC metal rocker arm
Machined from metal and interchangeable left to right — no plastic in the handle assembly.
Soft rubber knob
A grip that stays comfortable through a long retrieve.
No-gap structure
Built without play in the rocker arm assembly, so the retrieve stays tight.
Lightweight guide bar
A guide bar structure that keeps body weight down.
Why we carry it
Rear-drag reels have gone out of fashion and should not have. If you fish two rods and want one running free, or you like backing the drag off between casts, a rear brake is genuinely useful. This one pairs it with a metal spool and a machined handle rather than the plastic you usually get at this level.
