Folding Stool
Standing is fine for the first hour. After that, the difference between a good session and a short one is whether you have somewhere to sit. Thirty-two centimetres of steel-framed stool, folded flat, solves that permanently.
Details
On the water
The steel tube frame is the part that matters — it is what stops a folding stool sinking into soft ground or folding under you when you shift your weight. Oxford cloth over the top takes the damp and dries out. It folds down to travel and opens in one movement at the swim.
What it does
Steel tube frame
A metal skeleton throughout, which is what a folding seat needs to stay a seat.
Oxford cloth seat
A hard-wearing woven top that takes wet gear and wipes down.
Folds flat
Opens and closes in one movement, packs down for the walk.
32 x 28 x 32 cm
Compact enough to carry alongside the rest of the kit.
Why we carry it
A stool is not a comfort purchase. It is what lets you stay long enough to fish the last hour of light, which is when most of the good fish come. Steel frame, plain cloth, folds — nothing to break in the cold.
